LAUGHING OUT LOUD

I was sitting here thinking about how we can make the Marble Mountain Trek more extreme: bring one pair of clothes, take only rice and seasonings, trap and kill a few more animals, and generally go wild for like 10 days( lord of the rings style). Then I remembered how we all try to pack in a little more from home each time, crammed into our packs, and more and more items end up at Shelley Lake then there would be at Black Bird. Well, then that's when I laughed out loud, because I remembered that Danny tried to go extreme without a tent last year and ended up in the Zuro clan tent, tucked in between Carter and Calvin, he thought anything would be better than being attacked by the prehistoric ants and flying insects at 5 am. Well he was terribly wrong, not only did we not fit in a four man tent, but Carter itched himself to death all night and I kept reaching over Danny to beat him every 10 minutes until Danny decided to hold onto his hands and sort of lay on top of him to stop the scratching madness when all of the sudden, he yelped and Carter sat up to puke on top of him, and all over our sleeping bags. He actually got four people with it and I was crying and laughing and dry heaving at the same time! I used bum wipes and roll on deodorant and Dannys head lamp to clean it up so we could survive the rest of the night. So maybe Lord of the Rings style will have to be an adult only trip!

HAPPY EASTERSSSSSS!!!

Well, it's that time of year again, same time, every year...these pop up...EVERYWHERE...and what comes into my head?.......HOLLY NEVILLE!! Back in the day when Iwas young and spry, at Ricks College, Holly and I would haul around in the blue dart. Three on the tree baby!! We owned Rexburg Holly and you know it. Holly was the addict first and then, due to temptation...oh the horrible influence you had on me Holly, I fell.....I fell hard. I love these mini-eggs and I buy bags and bags and bags every year and then stuff my face, get sick, and start all over again the next day. But it's good cuz it brings me back to my family, my cousin Holly Neville, then my mind wanders over to the livestock center, then to homeade pipebomb things we blew up in apartment complexes, then to prank calls, then....Oh I could go on. Happy Easter Holly! P.S. Notice the opened container of this package....I had to!!!

So... Alyssa's favorite movie is "Annie". She loves, loves loves the singing, the " over acting", and broadway dancing etc... So she liken's her life and everyone else's to the character's in the movie. Guess who I am? She will mimic the dances, and say the lines only if she thinks no one is watching, but the note that I am posting relates to this story, because she secretly wants us both to be" girls on broadway", performing and dancing alot, and mostly being very dramatic, so when I got mad at her for doing so, she wrote this note ( I banned her from talking for 10 minutes).

LITLLE CEASAR BRINGS FAMILY NEWS

HEY EVERYONE, I THINK I HAVE A DATE FOR THE OHIO NEVILLE FAMILY REUNION. THE HILL CUMORAH PAGEANT WILL DETERMINE THE START DATE, AND THERE ARE SOME WHO WILL PROBABLY COME EARLY OR LEAVE EARLY, BUT THE LAST DAY OF THE PAGEANT IN PALMYRA IS JULY 19TH. SO LETS TRY TO GO TO NIAGARA FALLS, AND I THINK THERE IS A HISTORICAL SITE ON THE WAY AS WELL. LETS PLAN ON ONE NIGHT IN A MOTEL FOR THAT AND I WILL TRY AND GET SOME TRANSPORTATION IN THE MEAN TIME. ALSO THERE IS A VERY HUGE WATER, AMUSEMENT PARK IN CLEVELAND, THAT WOULD BE FUN TO HIT ON THE WAY BACK. FROM THEN, WE CAN SWIM, RELAX, BARBEQUE AND PLAY VOLLEYBALL AT OUR HOUSE, AND THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO GO UP TO KIRTLAND,OH CAN GO LATER ON DURING THE WEEK ( ITS 3 HRS FROM OUR HOUSE). PALMYRA IS 6.5 HOURS FROM OUR HOUSE. SOME OF YOU MIGHT WANT TO FLY INTO NEW YORK AND THEN FLY OUT OF COLUMBUS. SO THE ONLY DATE THAT IS SET IN STONE IS JULY 19TH, (IT STARTS AT 9:00 PM). IF YOU GO TO LDS.ORG YOU CAN LOOK UP PALMYRA CHURCH SITES AND KIRTLAND AS WELL SO SEE ALL OF THE DIFFERENT SPOTS THAT ARE NEAR AND AROUND EACH TOWN, THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO CHURCH HISTORY. I HOPE EVERYONE CAN COME AND ANDY AND I WILL BE BUSY GETTING OUR HOUSE READY FOR EVERYONE TO STAY HERE THIS SUMMER.

Everyone's favorite little BLOCKHEAD.

Pinner's a favorite with everyone it seems. He's such a happy little guy (as long a Mommy is in sight.) Unfortunately, he still screams like a banshee. I think I'm partially deaf in both ears. Looks like he will be getting tubes put in. We're scheduled for Feb 22. Here's to hoping all goes well.


Lex has been such a good girl lately. It is incredible! She's getting real silly too. Today in church, in between testimonies of course. She announced that her Belle doll's boobs hurt. She also brought a change of panties in her purse. Just in case??? I found the little Elmos balled up on the seat next to me in sacrament meeting. Oh wow.

Nate's getting bigger, slowly. I was washing his hair with a baby brush to get rid of some of his cradle cap and most of the hair on the top of his head fell out so we shaved him. Now he looks like a scrawning little chemo paitent. It's pretty pathetic. (And no, I wasn't scouring his head.)

I'm having winter blues

Ok, so while everyone is watching the superbowl game, I'm doin' some bloggin' and remembering how fun it is to be in the carribean when it is below freezing in Ohio. What are everyones plans for coming out here this summer? I will try (again) to come up with a date and a schedule of fun events for everyone. I think we can go in the direction of New York and hit some cool spots along the way, and also have fun at a theme park, and water works of course.

Lance, Cal and Branden up "Dead Indian" at Christmas time. This hill was absolutely a joke to climb more than twice. Shane: the snowball packer was a good idea, but bad snow makes bad balls. Did Geordan give that back by the way? Connie said he found it later, I almost bought another.

THIS JUST ABOUT SUMS IT UP

WE JUST GOT BACK FROM CHRISTMAS IN MEDFORD AND HAD A VERY GOOD TIME. SAW LOTS OF PEOPLE, PLAYED IN THE SNOW AND HUNG OUT WITH FAMILY. MAX WAS SICK JUST ABOUT THE WHOLE TIME, BUT MANAGED TO LEARN HOW TO WALK AT GRANDMA AND GRANDPAS HOUSE. WE GOT TO SEE THE TWO NEW BABIES, AND I THINK EVERYONE KNOWS THAT EMILY ALSO BIRTHED OVER THE HOLIDAYS. NEW YEARS WAS AT NICK AND CONNIES, WITH LAST MINUTE FIREWORKS AND VERY TIRED KIDS, WHO GOT SO LUCKY AS TO JOIN US AT AN ALL NIGHT DINER UNTIL ABOUT 2 AM. LANCY AND VINNY GOT TO BE NAUGHTY THE WHOLE TIME, WHILE CARTER ARGUED WITH ANYONE WHO WOULD TAKE THE BAIT. ALYSSA TRIED HER HAND AT BABYSITTING AND SEWING AND SOME LIGHT HOUSE CLEANING FOR GRANDMA MAR. SHE LOVES TO HELP EVEN WHEN NOT WANTED. ANDY WORKED UP AT THE NEW HOUSE AND HOLLY GENERALLY ATE ALOT OF CHOCOLATE ( WITH CONNIES ENCOURAGEMENT AND TOTAL SUPPORT). AND THAT IS AS CLOSE TO A CHRISTMAS CHAIN LETTER AS I'LL EVER GET.

We had a good Thanksgiving out in Bancroft with Kim's folks in their new house they are still trying to finish. We look forward to making it to a Neville Thanksgiving which I don't think we've done since we've been married; not on purpose just worked out that way.

Anyway, we got to see Todd and his family and went up to see JoAnna too. It was really neat to go through her pictures of their Church History tour. We also stopped by the Chard's in Petersona and saw Norma, Jim & Diana, and Doug and Suzy. All are doing good and it was a good visit.

I brought home some pictures I hadn't goon through in years and found a few I thought needed posted for good laughs and memories. Hope you don't mind Holly, I'm still working on getting my own Blog up and running.

Day before Marbles 2000

Thanks to everyone who came for Austin's blessing today. Shane was there too but had to get back to work at the hospital before sacrament meeting ended. Mark Willans was also there and stood in the circle. It was a special time for our growing family and we're grateful everyone came who could. We'll post some more pics and updates on our blog also. For those of you out of town, you might notice Josh wasn't in the picture either. He wasn't able to be there because he's just begun a few months in the OSP academy up north so we missed him but hope he does well up there and excels as a new recruit. Congratulations Josh. How was everyone else's Thanksgiving? I know Todd at least sounded a little bitter over the lack of phone communication between Neville's (sounded like he missed his hot-roddy call from mom). I propose a unified Neville Family Thanksgiving next year to smooth that over and to allow MacKenzie a chance at revenge towards Geordan for the snowball fiasco which continues to have new facts come to light even several years later :)................
